Every year rally comes and goes..but somehow it just leaves us feeling refreshed, no? :)

I am so greatful to God for placing me in my school, in my time..I am so greatful to my CF for helping me grow in God, from the time I needed persuasion to come till' now when I'm doing the persuading :)

Sometimes we question God..for me personally that's always been a struggle..

Sometimes I ask God, "Why SMK Sri Andalas?"

But everytime I ask a question, God is just right there..He reasures me and He comforts me..How?

That's what ISCF Rallies do for me..every success, every expectation exceeded, every member I see contributing from my CF, every new person I get to work with and help, every talent blossoming,

OH WHAT A JOY!

Jesus, there is truly noone like you..Your grace and the way You make me feel continues to AMAZE me!the way You take care of me...

There is noone like you :)

I truly hope that I get more chances to contribute to future rallies...eventhough this is my last year, I am still so happy that rally happened because it just keeps me going..and I am very grateful that the next generation gets to experience and grow through this too! :)

Well, so how's my holiday been going?

Pretty okay I guess :) I've been seriously lazy..not even turned a SINGLE page..didn't revise..tried to a little bit but that was a FAILURE.

Wowza, so what is the purpose of this post?

Well I've been thinking and thinking..and recently I've realised that lotsa people I know are unhappy..and what can I say?sometimes I'm unhappy too..I mean don't get me wrong, God is good..but sometimes yeah I get disappointed..I am human. Well so why all this unhappiness?

Primarily because people LET US DOWN

I'm SERIOUSLY not addressing anyone in particular..this is not one of those hissy fit hate posts with indirect references trying to vaguely suggest motives or non-motives hypothetically implying that a person has pissed or angered or demotivated me and that I intend to get back at them with thinly veiled insults through thinly veiled posts :)

ANYWAY :) you get what I mean ;) I just get disappointed with the people I know sometimes..it's very general and yeah I've been seeing my friends around me going through the same thing..it's not a nice feeling sitting down and just looking back at friends and people you love just drifting further off..I mean I've been seriously burnt by this on occasion..back then, I know I'm a guy and everything but my heart was in a really fragile state..I found myself preferring to be alone because I was afraid of getting hurt which is totally contrary to who I really am..but it all changed when I found the answer in God reminding me of what it's truly all about..

the thing is, I've figured that the reason why I've been feeling this way is because I've been setting my expectations for peoples' behaviour like way higher than they're supposed to be..I mean I expect them to behave a certain way or react in a specific manour and when they don't....I get disappointed :(

So where should we set that bar for the people we know?where should we set our expectations?well the truth is....

DON'T SET A BAR FOR THE PEOPLE YOU KNOW.

AND DON'T HAVE A CERTAIN EXPECTATION OR REQUIREMENT FOR THEM.

I mean seriously it's simple..did Jesus set a bar for the people that were around Him?

Did He go,

'Naww, you're too poor, get lost.'

or, 'Naww, you're too brown, get lost.'

or, 'Naww, you treated me badly, get lost.'?

People are BOUND to treat us badly once in a while..I mean PEOPLE even nailed Jesus to a cross...and it's not like we're saints and we don't ever do it too..we all make mistakes..and from my standpoint, why should I beat myself up about a person treating me badly and whining about it when I've most probably done it too?you see when you tell yourself that you're not gonna set a bar or set a certain expectation of behaviour for the people around you, you're actually taking that first step of forgiveness before they've even made a mistake :) Learn to accept people for their flaws..and learn to tell yourself that you're gonna be the best you can be and not expect the people around you to be perfect..because as good or awesome or great as you can be, you're never gonna be PERFECT toooo :) just strive to become more like God each day :D

So now if you were to ask me if I still draw away when people let me down I would tell you,

Haha, as a Christian I really thank God for giving me that wisdom in my life that helps me see a silver lining on a dark cloud in times of trouble..And that's a gift that has a lifetime guarantee for EVERYONE regardless of how holy you are or how far along your walk with God is.

Just trust in Him and he will provide the answer :))

wooooooohhhh......wooooooooooohhh..I don't know, I'm actually trying to sound like an owl... xD

WELL ANYWAYS, why am I behaving in this strange way you might ask? It's the exams i tell you! It's feeding of my soul! It's driving me insane! It's killing me INSIIIIIDDEEEE!

TEEHEE! Well not as dramatic as that la..but seriously wei, the honeymoon has trully and officially ended..starting this coming Monday, I'm actually looking at an exam every month till' November when my SPM arrives..I actually have very very mixed feelings about this stupid government exam....well pardon me, but it is stupid right? Necessary albeit.. So yes as I was
saying before...

I wanna be DONE with it..

But on the other hand, I am absolutely TERRIFIED of it..

hahaha, it is gonna be the most important exam I sit for..Right now of course..

My sister always goes, "SPM IS NOTHING LAAAA, WHY YOU WORRIED??"

SHUTUPRACHELITISSCARY!hahaha, naw la i actually get what she's saying..it's like PMR and UPSR..they seem like neeetthingg now but they were SUPER IMPORTANT way back when..it's all just the cycle we go through in our lives i guess..it just reminds me to be always reliant on God..like seriously I really wouldn't be able to make it through life if it weren't for God..these past few days have been pretty difficult for me as well..my body decided to get a fever the week before my monthly tests :/ and on top of that I was suspected of Dengue and H1N1..I went for blood tests and for the H1N1 test as well and the results came back negative :) I must confess that I would have liked to skip my monthlies xD but HEY, H1N1 and Dengue are much more worse..I'm just thankful to be healthy and recovering..AND TOMORROW IS THE CONVENT-ANDALAS CF COMBINED MEETING! =D I am very happy..this meeting has been in the works for like 2 months??and it's finally gonna come to pass :) very very excited to be working with Lih Tyng who happens to be one of my very good friends and the convent team..I'm actually sharing tomorrow so LORD GIVE ME STRENGTH!!haha, seriously..it is a joy to be able to spread God's goodness even if it is small scale..PRAISE THE LORD!

DATE NIGGHHHHTTTT!

sooooooo today my family and I went out for "Date Night"!NO WE DIDN'T GO ON A DATE........

We went for a moooooooo-viee :)

Btw, before when I said my 'family' and I went for a movie, i mean like my WHOLE FAMILY! Not exactly la actually..... BUT Ama and Aunty Renu followed! + the regular 5 of us :) and Ama means Indian side ehhh......though you probably would have guessed since 'Renu' isn't exactly a Chinese name.....ANYWAY, AMA = INDIAN and AHMA = CHINESE xD

So really Date Night was a nice niceee movie..very veryy funny..cause of Steve Carrell la :D I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to watch a good comedy =D it's pretty cleann unlike the usual come-crap we get todayyy..I think ladies also will enjoy this a little bit more than guys la..cause like Tina Fey, some of her jokes..I didn't really find em' funny but like all the girls (literally like 5/7 of us) were laughing, laughing, laughing..my dad and I were like.... *blank faced*?yeah sooo, nice mooovieeee, I really enjoyed myself..if you wanna go watch ajack me also kayyy ;D I shall make your movie loaaaddsss funnier.........

hrmmmmmmmmmm..........well the weekend has been good.. :)

finally had a good chat with my bro' from anotha mo' Brandon! :D Yea sweet guy hahaha..

But the main thing that I really wanna talk about right now is the Interschool Christian Fellowship rally! I went for the 1st ISCF 2010 meeting on Saturday and I have got to say that I am super excited about what's to come..seriously wei this year's committee is really really awesome and I really wish that I could be part of it :( I can't cause my parents don't allow me too.....yeahhhh..but like hey, everything has it's season right? I am DESPERATELY trying to see a silver lining to this dark dark cloud....

However yea, there is DEFINITELY cause to be excited wei..the committee is goofy, fun and hardworking all at the same time!Some are people whom I hold very dear to my heart and some are people that I've just met! However, let me just say that they are ALL super innovative..I really can't wait to see what's gonna happen..it's gonna be DA BOMB!I know that it isn't necessarily time to promote yet but heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee~ xD

wakaka, ISCF Rally has really impacted my life in so so many ways :) it was actually one of the first places where I experienced God's presence. Both in the hype of the worship and the *ooompphh!* of the crowd xD and I got to meet so many new awesome people! Not only that, I actually got to co-emcee with Lih Tyng(awesoommmeee gal :). PAHRAHHMECIUM =D) for last year's rally which also thought me a lottt..the atmosphere is always great and the crowd are always PUMPED!I tell you if you don't go this year, you're really gonna miss outt!This is sorta like a teaser I guess...? ;) hahaha, to break it down, rally is most probably coming up in June, July?hahaha, be excited people! God is really gonna move in a host of ways..Don't miss a chance to be a part of it too!I will definitely talk more about ISCF Rally as the clock ticks down to it but for now, this is all I got :P

So hey, after realising that I actually have not updated my blog since dinosaurs roamed the earth...I have decided to just post up something normal :) yes, the funny stuff is indeed fun but I am not..very....funny. haha, yes i do know that I am not gay but hey, sometimes even a guy needs to vent right?

So So, what happened today?? After a MONTH of not going for futsol, I finally managed to procure permission to go out, run around and kick a ball.....but HA, the catch is it's INDOOR *wink wink* But no seriously it was very very fun eventhough I sucked today :) what to dooo?one month never play d maa.....OH AND BTW KATHRYN PHANG WAS NOT THERE! Eventhough she tried her BEST to make me feel guilty for telling her I couldn't go initially..MUHAH, take that suckkaaaa~

Joking aside,

Well actually the main reason for this post is actually because I have been getting this strong feeling from God telling me to say something that every young person needs to hear..

It actually started off with me, observing a very good friend of mine..how he changed from being this totally nice guy to being a little standoffish and self conscious? Ahaa, but I still do like this person very much!

To put it more clearly, I think that young people today are just so desperate to fit in and to conform into a society that is deemed as socially adequate. They try to be the coolest and most popular person around. But popular isn't good isn't it? Everybody seems to have someone that they have to impress.

Particularly in church, I see so many people who were once humble and wholesome become self-righteous and superficial.

This is so so dumb wei seriously.

No matter who you are, be happy with yourself brooo~ God made you the way He made you and He LOVES you. Why should you care about what the world 'expects' you to be? Of course I'm not saying that you should toss the whole thing out the window. You should definitely set standards for yourself. Goals that eventually lead to good virtue, not popularity and 'cool-ness'..to me, there is NOTHING cooler than a person just being him or herself.

The reason why being SUPERficial is SUPER dangerous is because you actually put out a very bad testimony of yourself. Why do I say this? In church itself, I see so many dudes and dudettes being clickish and picky with the people they mix with. If somebody is not exactly what you'd call normal, they don't have any friends. If someone is a little bit different culturally, then you don't really have much to say anything to this person. If someone isn't cool enough, they don't deserve a smile. Cmon' guys, God never judged us for all our faults.... Why should we pick up the axe and start cutting people off? Being like this is actually a HUGEE lie of the devil.

Cut the act and start loving like how God loved you. I've been there, done that. And I can say that you're never gonna be happy trying to be something you're not just so you can fit in.

I CAN BE EXPRESSIVE TOO KAY!

heeh heeh hehhh but seriously. The only answer is Love. To love. And you're definitely gonna be happy :)

ahahahahaha, and now the story continues...

HEY PEEPS, I'M BACK YO! and apparently black at the moment!
hahaha, my exam hassssss finallyyyy ended and yeah it did end quite a number of days ago....but i completely FORGOT to update my blog, hehhhh :P so yeahhh, life has come to a complete standstill...after exam, whatt too dooo?no school, no studies although SPM hasss started showing her uglyyy face recently i mean like seriously, after my exams.....But EVEN MORE seriously, a lot has happened over the last month....For one, ever sice my exam ended I've been watching A LOT of movies, old and new :) So well I've decided to review some of em' in this post, the new ones of course cause it would just be plain old boring and lame if i reviewed the old ones :P so well just to count how many movies i've seen over the last week or so, 6 movies, 2 old and 4 new..well the 2 old ones are actually DVD's which just came out, Transformers 2 and Star Trek, awesome awesome shows which i HIGHLY recommend :D so enough sidetracking, back to the movies which just came out over the past month or so that I've watcheddd....starting in order......

1. 500 Days Of Summer

People, this is an AWESOME awesome movie!hahaha, i know that it's kinda gay for a guy to be watching a romantic comedy and all but as the poster says:

This is not a love story,
It's a story about love.

ok now i really don't care if that sounded EVEN gay-er, this movie still is awesome :D with some really really funny bits and a lot of awesomely innovative shots by the director, I would definitely give this movie 5 stars..the story basically follows a dude who meets a girl named 'Summer' which would clear up lots of confusion over the name of this movie:

Summer doesn't have 500 days maaaa???? :P

hahahaha, BEWARE THIS IS NOT A LOVE STORY, you chick-flick minded CHICKS!it STILL can be watched by ya but oh welllll :P LOL, well without giving away anymore of the story, it's about the 500 days he spends with her laaaaa :) GET IT WHEN THE DVD COMES OUT, it'll be worth your money ;) but like if you're impatient like me......go downloadddd it laaaaaaa, hahahahaha..now i will NOT give you the link, but hey, just go isohunt and search..jeeeezz ;P

2. Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs

Ok so this movie was another movie which i really really enjoyed..definitely suitable for the WHOLE family so for all the aunties and uncles wondering which show to take your children to, this one is very very good :P Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure that it isn't showing in theaters anymore but oh well, that's what DVD's are for :P so the story starts of with this kid who lives in this sardine town who wants to be an inventor or scientist or something like that la..so many years down the road, he's gotten bigger, his hair has gotten bigger, his barainn as well and he decides to build a FOOD MACHINE..long story short, the movie is about what happens after this food machine is built la and with A LOT of laugh-out-loud scenes together with a bit of romantik-romantik here and there, this movie deserves a solid 4 stars :) GO WATCH IT!

3. 2012

ahh ok so we've reached the oh-so-controversial 2012 :O hahaha, now all of this controversy stems from the fact that the entire plot of this movie is based on actual Mayan beliefs :O hahaha, old news to all of us right :) but hey, people are taking this seriously! Interesting titbits of information, some Mayans have actually started committing suicide after the release of this movie :O Also, there was this other non-Mayan dude that actually committed suicide as well after watching the movie :O And as if that wasn't enough...

MY AUNT HAS TAKEN LEAVE ON DECEMBER 21, 2012 D:

hahaha, that is ACTUALLY TRUE but moving on to the movie itself..it is just basically 3 hours of apocalyptic, self destruct, mad mega tsunami action packed, explosive carnage!hahaha, seriously people, as if destroying stuff with mad waves and crazy volcanic explosions wasn't enough, the creators of this movie actually destroy stuff, with EVEN LARGER STUFF :O >>>>>

I mean seriously, if you are a WOMANN expecting some emo love story, you're gonna be disappointed :/ ON THE OTHER HAND, if you are some dude who just loves good special effects and DESTRUCSHUNNNNN! then this movie is for you :) All in all, this movie gets like a solid 3 stars for some awesome CGI work but a slight lack of actual depth in the characters ;) I still recommend you to go watch it if you have the time for it's many ':O' moments.

4. Funny People

Alright now this movie was just plain HORRIBLE so this review is gonna be short!ok like seriously guys, after watching the trailer, i actually thought that this movie was gonna be funny but really it is just ANOTHER non sense Seth Rogen comedy ): In a nutshell, this movie follows the story of a pro comedian, Adam Sandler, who discovers he has cancer and hires an amateur comedian, Seth Rogen, to write jokes for him while Adam Sandler rights all the mistakes he's made in his life..now the storyline actually has lots of potential but unfortunately..this movie just AIN'T FUNNY..it is just wayyyy too vulgar and the scenes which are actually of 'stand-up comedy' are really really badddd....i guess the only good parts were little cameos by people like Ray Romano and Eminem....this movie was soooooo HORRIBLE that i'm not even gonna give you the link to download this...gahh lousy mooovieeee...COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME, DON'T WATCH IT.2 stars and only because i like Ray Romano..haiz, i'm disappointed in you Adam Sandler...............

ahaha so well if you can COUNT, then ya know that i've reached the end of my list of 'moviesDavidYaphaswatched' :P now i hope this helps you in choosing which movie you go and watch cause like movies are like........awesomee.......hahahaha, to me at least!So well, we have come to the end of this post! ;) I will be watching more movies of course and will post more reviews in like the time to come :) for now I leave you with this awesome pic captured on my NOKIA 5800 xD

Coming from the blasting, lasting, fasting city of Klang, haha.. I had a funny experience that i just had to blog about!

The story starts quite a few KM from Klang la...hahaha, KILOMETRES.. Well anyways, I was in Megamall the other day and remember how i said before, the way a chindian tummy works ;) same scenario la..back to carii makannnnn......K so well anyway just as i was strolling around i saw this

store selling none other than cotton candy! whooossshh, i TOTALLY bought it! Hey I didn't take an actual picture, but it looked something like thisss!

K well enough sidetracking, doesn't this picture look good?? Well I got the live version!! So I did the most logical thing la, EAT IT THERE AND THEN! hahahahaha..so i started eating this HUGE bag of cotton candy, followed my mom shopping, see perfume and all the fume fume laaaa..

Finally after she finished her perfume shopping, the bag was about half finished d laa. And then my oh-so-beautiful mom gave me an awesome surprise, since she had like 80 bucks vouchers because she spent like 1000 bucks! she said that i could get a new shirt!! So i pandai pandai jalan up MetroJaya, looking at shirts and all..SLOWLY tearing out piece by piece, fuuhhhh shiok laa...

Suddenly........ I felt like i was being watched...you know like when in six sense where Haley Joel Osment feels all weird when there're are dead people around him, SAME CASE. So well i did the most obvious thing la, i turned around and looked and suddenly spotted this group of workers staring at me.. ABOUT 5 FELLAS YA KNOW..and they were all Malay!

Still high from sugar i just stared back at them la...dei seriously, the way their mouths were hanging open........ ":O" Exactly!

I tell you I was SHOCKED..........so i asked my sis..
David, "eh Eve, why are they all staring at me?"
Eve, "I guess it's cause you're eating"

Still didn't hit me

David, "Yahhh, so whatt??"
Eve, "They think you're not fasting laaaa!"

Alright guys, since there has been talk about this blog being dead............

Coming to you from the deep, dark, multiracial, multicultural, multimulti city of Klang..

A crime has been committed, and let me tell you.. You ain't NEVER seen conspiracy like this.
Let me tell this story properly la first k? I think some of you know already cause i told ya and stuff but the rest......

Kay this actually happened to me about a month or two ago, ya know innocently strolling around Aeon and as most of you know, a chindian tummy can't take too much at one go, but we need a lott of small snacks to get us through the day soooow i cari makan laa..saw this Mentos Sour Mix..fuhhh, it looked so good....so i tossed it in Mummy's cart and Mummy bought it and went home and popped opened the seal, AND wahhh smell of Pineapple drifted out, amazingkh!

So i reached into this bottle, by that time L4D was on the laptop d la so i didn't really pay much attention to the bottle..

Put the Mentos in my mouth, waahhhh - PINEAPPLE! shiokk la so I take another one..

wahh...... - PINEAPPLE! cool cool pop another in my mouth..

YENADEEIII - PINEAPPLE crap i want another flavour la! Stopped killing zombies, and when i looked into the bottle.............all i saw was a SEA of yellow.. That's right people..

.....so I, being logical and all did the most logical thingg laaa.
Pour it out on the beddd!

HAHHHH! 42 Pineapples including the three i ate, 4 Grapes and only 2 Apples!! Dei why laa, WHY LAAA? How to enjoy?? :((( That's right, this is photo graphical evidence Mentos! And let me tell you when i first saw it i just said to myself la,
David, c'mon bro, it's an accident EVIDENTLY bahahahaha nothing more.

But as i got to thinking......what if this "accident".....isn't an............"accident"...what if EVIDENTLY, this "accident" which i thought was an "accident" at first is actually aa......

But at least give me a chance to explain my theory k. The oh-so-obvious reason why this so called "accident" is indeed a conspiracy is in fact because Mentos wants expecting mothers to ABORT their pregnancies!!!

K back to da storryy, if you have seen this movie! - with subtitles then you shall KNOW that Pineapples have been infamous throughout the centuries for causing expecting mothers to abort their babies!

(Long story short - Kid hears grandma talking bout how expectant mothers can't eat pineapples cause too much acid and all and decides to feed this girl PINEAPPLES because he thinks he has impregnated her after, "sleeping" with her for a night)

Therefore, Mentos's EVIDENT "accident" which i thought was an "accident" at first which looked like an "accident" rigghhtt is in fact....NOT AN ACCIDENT!

THEY WANT EXPECTANT MOTHERS TO ABORT!!!

Yes, this does sound Holocaust-ly but even the name of cooperation that hands these little mints out sounds weird! Plain and simple people, plain andd simple.... Still trust Mentos? Or for that matter the PERFETTI VAN MELLE cooperation?? Hah, i think not........... We're wising up to your cunning little schemes Mentos! And people, still don't trust me? cheehhhhh i got prooof! hehehhehehehehe
